A mini-doco capturing the Sydney Opera House Vivid Live collaboration with Club Weld. Club Weld is an organisation that provides rehearsal & recording opportunities for a community of talented musicians who are also on the autism spectrum. In this case the musicians came into the recording studios of the Sydney Opera House to record some tracks under the guidance of Rainbow Chan, George Nicholas (Seekae) and Eugene Ward (Dro Carey/Tuff Sherm). A highlight of the collaboration was the journey to record found sounds & atmospheric noises of the 'back-stage' areas of the Opera House (think the clang of stage winches & the creaking of underground seawater pumps). These sounds were later turned into samples and remixed into some of the tracks. All the tracks produced during this collaboration can be heard here.
